When registration begins, you can access the players by going to our player’s page. The list will be updated weekly.

Yes, but you must indicate the group in which you wish to play in on your entry form under Special Requests.

Example: If you are 13 and you want to play up in the 14 division, please make a note under special requests on your entry form.

You can contact each course for a practice round one week prior to the tournament. Discounted green fees are available for registered players only. Players will be responsible for setting up their own practice rounds. Click here for a course listing.

The packets will be available from noon to 6 p.m. on the Sunday before the tournament begins at Cottonwood Creek Golf Course. Starting hole assignments will be posted on Sunday at Cottonwood. Your packet will include your unique Adidas gift, tournament program, etc. We cannot guarantee you a packet if you do not pick up your packet by Sunday evening. If you are unable to attend Sunday, please arrange for another person to pick up your packet and caddie apparel.

This is the 20th year for Starburst, will be held June 11-13, 2018 and is a premier junior golf tournament. The tournament committee is composed of volunteers of the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce. The committee takes great pride in hosting one of the premier junior golf tournaments in the country. For more information on the tournament, please visit our History page.

All candy is generously donated by MARS, so we do not have a choice in what varieties of candy are donated or how much. Once we run out of the candy that’s it. All candy is distributed evenly among the four courses. Please remember the candy is for ALL players and must be shared.

We have partnered with Cottonwood Golf Course for a Par 3 Tournament on Sunday, June 10, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. (signup at the course that day). This is open to teams made up of one registered Starburst player + one non-registered player. The tournament is first come, first served and is FREE!

Players will be able to find out who they are paired with and what hole they are starting at an hour before their flight starts each day.

Scores will be tallied up at the end of each round. If you notice a mistake or miscalculation, please let us know before you leave the course. We understand that is not always possible, so the next day before your flight begins let a committee member know while picking up your scorecard before your flight starts. If you notice an error in BlueGolf from the previous day, let a committee member know before your round starts. This must be fixed at the course, please do not call or email unless the tournament is over.

Water and other beverages are donated courtesy of Dr Pepper. Drinks will be distributed evenly to all the courses. Our committee and volunteers will do their best to distributing it each day. We have a small group that goes around to refill the drinks, so please be understanding. If you need water right away it can always be purchased inside the Club House. The complimentary water is ONLY for the players and their caddies. Spectators will need to purchase their own water.

There will only be activities offered on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Cottonwood Creek Golf Course. • Location: Cottonwood Creek Golf Course • Registration: 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. • Registration Activities: Pick up player swag bag, program, tournament pairings and all Caddie apparel • Starburst Store will be open 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Cottonwood Creek Golf Course and there is new merchandise this year. • Par 3 Tournament – 2 Person Scramble: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. (1 participant and 1 non-participant. Team consist of one Starburst player and his/her parent/guardian/grandparent/etc . . . a fun way to involve the family! Awards given to division winners!) • Dinner (Complimentary to players and their families): 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. (only on Sunday!) • College Chat: 6 p.m. (immediately before the Golf Ball Drop) • The Greater Waco Chamber’s Helicopter Golf Ball Drop: 7 p.m. About the Drop: We are proud to present a spectacular Helicopter Golf Ball Drop during the 20th Annual Starburst Junior Golf Classic. $1,000 doesn’t just fall from the sky . . . it falls from a helicopter! The annual Helicopter Golf Ball Drop will follow dinner Sunday night at 7 p.m. A maximum of 1,300 golf balls will be raffled off for $5 each prior to the ball drop on Sunday during player registration. Then, the numbered golf balls will be dropped from a helicopter onto the practice green at Cottonwood Creek Golf Course. Proceeds benefit the Starburst Junior Golf Classic.

There is a store! Starburst Store will be located at Cottonwood Golf Course during registration and remain open until mid-day on Wednesday, June 13, 2018.

It is extremely important for caddies and players to read over the Caddie Guidelines on page 5 of the program book. Only caddies will have direct contact with players during each round. Spectators will be required to remain at a distance from caddies and players. Therefore, caddies will be required to wear an official caddie T-shirt or caddie bib. A limited amount of caddie bibs ($45) and caddie T-shirts ($20) will be available at each course on a first come, first served basis and you must pay cash.

$35 (Includes Caddies or Spectators) $25 for 9-hole divisions Caddies may share carts only with other caddies. Children not participating ages 10 and under will be allowed to ride with a caddy. Spectators may share carts only with other spectators. Caddies must wear caddie apparel to get cart/stand in line.

Caddy carts will be sold first on a first-come, first-served basis beginning: • 1 hour 15 minutes prior to tee time: Caddy Carts, Stand in Line • Beginning 45 minutes prior to tee time: Spectator Carts Available, Stand in Line • This procedure will apply to every golf course. Please note each course has a limited number of golf carts.

*No more than two adults on spectator carts unless shuttling.

All awards will be given out on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 after each round is finished. They will be passed out at the golf course that you play at on Wednesday.

This tournament was a great experience for my son and I. Getting to meet and play with some of the games best youth players was worth the trip. He became friends with many of the players and was excited to meet them. Although my son did not score well, he left the tournament encouraged and is really working to improve his game for next years tournament.
